APPPLICATION AND REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS

 

To enroll at West Valley Court Reporting Department, you need to register as a West Valley Student and obtain a student ID.

 

a. You can apply online through CCCApply, the statewide systems for online applications for California Community College.

b. You can also complete this Application for Admission and send either by mail or fax:

Online applications are processed within 72 hours. You will receive an initial email confirming receipt of your application within 24 hours and then a final email that includes your West Valley Student ID number and registration date. Contact the Admissions & Records Office 408.741.2001 after 72 hours if you have not received this information. (Please be sure to bring a photo ID i.e. school ID or Driver's License to conduct business in person.)

 

To register for classes, please obtain the latest Class Schedule first. (download .pdf files for the current semester). You can either register in person at the Admissions Office, over the phone (408.741.8734) or online through MyWebServices.

You will be asked for your student I. D. number or your pin number ususally is your birthdate in six digits. If you do not register before classes begin, you will need to contact the our department for an add code clip from the instructor.

 

Enrollment Fees

As approved by the state legislature, all registering students will be required to pay $26.00 per unit community college enrollment fees; fees subject to change. Please check with the Admission Office for most updated fees. For example, if you enroll in a 3 unit class. The fee will be 3x26 = 78 dollars. A typical semester's tuition and fees in the court reporting program total about $250.

 

Basic Service Fees

There is a $17.00 health service fee, $3 WEB Registeration fee and $6 campus fee in addition to the class enrollment fees.

 

Parking Fees

Parking permits are required at all times except in visitor parking. Daily parking permits can be obtained at red or yellow machines throughout parking lots ($2.00). Semester permits are can be purchased at the Admissions and Records Office or Online.
